Hi, I’m Krystle.
I’m a Toronto-based surface pattern and illustration designer creating whimsical, story-driven artwork for brands and product collaborations.
I fell in love with art at a young age, but life eventually pulled me in other directions. In 2017, a spontaneous paint night reignited that creative spark — and I chose to follow it.
When the pandemic hit, I lost my job and experienced the devastating loss of my younger brother, Christopher. During that season of grief and uncertainty, art became a lifeline. I immersed myself in learning new mediums — watercolor, acrylics, resin, alcohol inks — before discovering the world of surface pattern design.
With an iPad, a laptop, and a self-taught crash course in Photoshop, I launched an Etsy shop and made over 400 sales in my first year. What began as healing quickly grew into a business built on resilience, creativity, and determination.
Today, I design cohesive pattern collections for licensing, helping brands stand out with original, story-driven art.
I believe pattern has the power to transform everyday objects into something meaningful — sparking joy, nostalgia, and connection. My work blends playful storytelling with thoughtful detail, resulting in collections that are both charming and commercially versatile.
